This guy! My son! A true Sportsman! This boy grew up in a home with just his Mom and sister! I did my best as a single Mom to instill my love for the outdoors into my son's heart! When he was a little guy My Dad, His Gramps, and myself would put out stuffed animals in the woods so he could find them and shoot them with his little toy rifle!!! Along with myself, his Gramps would take him out hunting any chance we got.

Jacob has been blessed to have met many male mentors along the way that have helped him gain knowledge of the sport. His first opportunity was when he won his lifetime license and we were invited to the Maine Inland And Fisheries to receive it! Growing up, we'd have to go to the Maine wildlife park at least twice a year so Jacob could film, photograph, and learn about Maine's wildlife! Jacob had the opportunity to meet Maine Game wardens, Maine registered guides, and mentor hunters that were more than willing to help this boy out in any way they could! From helping him set up blinds, teaching him how to call wildlife in, teaching him how to properly use a firearm, you name it, people were there to help to get this boy started! He has teamed up with some amazing hunters who have taught him hunting morals and ethics! They have taught him what camaraderie is all about! He has made many lifelong friendships! were blessed to have so many step up to help us!

Then it happened at the age of 12, Jacob got his first buck and I was there to experience the event with him! We both shed tears of happiness and I knew in the moment that my son would be forever in love with hunting! It was in his blood and in his heart! The tradition was about to be carried on.....by this guy!

From there on out, Jacob self taught himself everything else he wanted to know! He'd research, study, and apply! He has tracked deer on his own! He has called in turkeys for many junior hunters and friends as well! Just recently he quartered his moose and backpacked it out on his own!

Jake is humble and knows that his hunting capabilities are a gift. I've taught him to have faith and thank God above for his harvests! He is a provider! Our family is never short on meat thanks to him!!!!

This year Jake did it!!!! He completed his Grand slam and I could not be more proud!! Hard work, persistence, patience, love for the sport, dedication, and a good shot.....got him to where he is today!!

Congratulations Jacob Haskell!!!! 2024 Grand Slam!!! Follow this guy on YouTube - The Pursuit Hunt! He is going places!
