Jake Haskell grew up in rural Maine, where he developed a love for the outdoors and hunting from a very young age, inspired by family members who were avid sportsmen and women. At 10 years old, Jake was finally able to pick up a firearm and hunt for real. The day after his 10th birthday, he shot his first turkey while hunting with his dad and grandpa. Two years later, at 12, he harvested his first deer, an eight-point buck, with his mom. These hunts were pivotal moments in Jake's growing passion for hunting.

At 16, Jake shot his second buck, another eight-point, and captured the hunt on video, self-filming from a camera arm in a treestand. He uploaded the hunt to YouTube, which really birthed the beginning of The Pursuit Hunt. Since then, Jake has become so deeply involved in the hunting community, attending events, making connections with fellow hunters, and collaborating with creators of outdoor content like himself. He’s also expanded his social media presence, supported by family, friends, and a growing base of followers who enjoy watching his journey and success.

By the age of 19, Jake had transformed his YouTube channel from a small hobby into an established brand in the Northeast. With over 5,000 followers across his platforms, he’s built a loyal and engaged audience. This growth has fueled Jake's motivation to remain consistent, continue learning, and constantly refine both his filmmaking and hunting skills.

As Jake always says, "The Pursuit Never Ends!"
